The Matina Studios & Apartments are an excellent family-run hotel situated 50 metres from the beach and approx 400 metres from the resort centre in the delightful upmarket Greek resort of Pefkos, Rhodes. Built in the late 1990's, the hotel now has 9 accommodation blocks based in lush well kept gardens centred around two large free-form lagoon style outdoor freshwater swimming pools each with its own pool bar. There is an excellent childrens club and extensive childrens play area which is shaded so the children can still play under the blazing midday sun.

The original pool area of the Matina Studios & Apartments has a lively and well-stocked bar serving great snacks and meals from 8am until 4pm. During the day the bar is run by the infamous Stergos. In the evening Dimitrios takes over the main bar with Donna to help him out. In the reception area, there is another bar where you can indulge in a quiet drink or use the Internet access which is available for a small fee (1€=15 minutes). The staff at the Matina will make your stay and nothing is ever a problem for them, from organising the room you had last year (if possible) to just ensuring that you laugh throughout the day and your holiday goes without a hitch.

There are 104 studios and one and two bedroom apartments with bathroom (bath with shower), kitchenette (2 cooking rings, cooking utensils, fridge, toaster and a kettle). Each room has air-conditioning (payable locally approx €35 per week for a studio and €65 per week for a 1 bedroom apartment) and also a balcony or terrace to laze around on and catch some sun!
